Health and safety

Read this before you follow a Routine. It’s part of Ripp’s Terms.
Not medical advice
Ripp reads Routines from creators’ Reels and TikToks. It isn’t a doctor, physiotherapist or coach, and nothing in Ripp is medical advice. The creators aren’t checked by Ripp, their videos are made for a general audience and not for you, and Ripp’s reading of their videos can be wrong.
Before you start
- Talk to a doctor or physiotherapist first if you’re pregnant, injured, recovering from surgery, or have a heart, joint, blood pressure or other health condition, or if you haven’t exercised in a long time.
- Check each Movement against the creator’s video. If the Routine and the video disagree, follow neither until you’re sure.
- Make room around you, and use a stable surface and any equipment as the creator shows. Keep your iPhone where you can see it without twisting.
While you move
- Go at your own pace. A time or number of reps is the creator’s suggestion, not a target you have to hit.
- Stop at once if you feel pain, dizziness, numbness, chest pain or shortness of breath, and get medical help if it doesn’t pass. In an emergency, call your local emergency number.
- Keep your eyes off the screen when a Movement needs your balance.
Your choice, your risk
Exercise, stretching and mobility work carry a risk of injury, and more when a Movement is new to you. By following a Routine in Ripp, you accept that risk and take responsibility for doing each Movement safely: for choosing Routines that suit you, checking them against the video, and stopping when something hurts. As far as the law allows, Ripp isn’t liable for injury that comes from those choices. This doesn’t limit Ripp’s responsibility for death or personal injury caused by its own negligence.
